home stretch

while reading the last two posts from marni and charlene, i giggled. i couldn't help myself. i'm delirious... it's nearly the end of the semester. i have precisely two more tuesdays to get through to finish. one presentation and two finals to go. and then...

i get to start all over two weeks later! LOL

i imagine it'll be something of a ghost town after next week, but i'm sure i'm not alone in my summer schooling. i'm determined to get in and out of my grad program as quickly as possible, which means i won't have summers off. considering i also work full time, i don't believe i'm missing much in the way of vacation anyway. it just means that instead of tuesdays, i'll have thursday classes. instead of leaving at noon, i'll leave the office around 330. *shrug* my big picture doesn't change much otherwise

originally, i was going to take the mini-semester off. then i looked at all the courses i had left to take, noting the ones that were waived by transfer credits. and i realized that i could finish ahead of what i first thought if i moved a few things around. of course, this assumes that the classes i want starting spring 2011 are actually offered in the semesters i need them (got my fingers super crossed). for now, i'm happy with having summer and fall taken care of. i'll have about a month between the two so i'll be sneaking off to ocean city a few times then

somehow all of this makes me less stressed about the end of this semester. i'll probably freak out a bit next week, but right now i'm ok. good luck to everyone with your own craziness; we're so close to the end! enjoy your time off, no matter how much there is :)

Summer classes are the way to go. For some reason, even the Professors seem to relax a bit during the summer, and if on top of it you are going to finish early, then why not?

I so wanted to take a summer class but the finances had to be reverted to a new car. 1993 Pontiac said it was ready to die so I had to pull the plug !!!! But next semester for sure, especially if Spencer is right in that some professors relax !!! I need a few less uptight teachers !
