lab hours are????
ok... so summer lab hours are not helping me at all. not sure how many of you guys work forty hours a week, what type of commute you have, what you have to do at home, and then how much homework you have to do... but lab hours during the summer... well, they suck big time! there is hardly enough time as it is after work to concentrate on homework, let alone trying to adjust your schedule and rush to get to the lab to do it... the major thing that bothers me is that they are not open AT ALL on Friday and Saturday... two major time frames where full time workers would be able to come in... and the hours on Sunday, guess i can forget about part of church service if i want to be in there to entire time to work on anything? yes, i understand the lab workers don't want to be there on the weekend, all understandable and fine and dandy... but it is difficult and teachers don't seem to sympathize with those who cannot get in there as much as others can... i don't have the time to drive down to ub, find parking, walk to the lab, doing in, work on my stuff, etc, etc, etc... i have other things to do and more time would be nice... or just don't expect spectacular work (not that i would ever say that any of it is lol, my design skills are still developing lol)... but you get what I'm saying??? it just gets frustrating ya know? oh well... things wont change, so no point in getting flustered, right?

There are different types of labs on campus. OTS manages several, including a 24-hour lab that closes only a few times a year (like July 3rd). For a complete listing and hours of our labs go to http://www.ubalt.edu/template.cfm?page=368
A number of other labs are run by specific programs, like Applied Information Technology in the College of Liberal Arts. For information about thier hours contact the department chair.
I hope this helps.

Rose, based on your design skills comment and the Fri/Sat issue, I'm guessing you're referring to the School of Comm Design's graphics lab, media lab, or both.
Maybe it's worth talking with David Patschke about the lab hours, if you haven't done so. His contact info is posted on this page.
I'm in the pub design program and cannot imagine relying on the graphics lab. I sympathize with anyone who is. It's a bit of a trade off. Sometimes I'd like being restricted by availability. Would get more sleep during the semester. Hmmm...
