Such is Life

Don't we all remember being kids and not having a thing to worry about. No responsibilities, and not a care in the world except for whats next on the list of activities mom or dad has for you. Growing up is a very hard thing to do if you think about it. We all go through many moments in life that one way or another is what has molded us to be who we are today. In life we tend to track back to our youngest years where we try and remember the many things we did not have to do as a child. Being an adult and especially being in college is a challenge. A Challenge that helps us continue to grow and be who we aspire to be. College life can be challenging but fun and help us find who we are as a person and what our purpose is in life.

I am a huge believer in getting what you want. I feel like if you really want something you must work hard to get it. Coming from a family of five and being that middle child forced me to be independent. All that I have ever done is work my hardest to get the things I want out of life. So far, I am very satisfied with many things life has brought me such as my fiance, and friends. I have learned that while my journeys through college will challenge me, my life will also grow at the same time. One of my favorite quotes is by Anne Wilson Schaef. She says "Life is a process. We are a process. The universe is a process."

In lifes processes we each handle things differently, and may look at lifes challenges as an inconvienence. These processes of life is what makes us and molds us into who we are today. Because life has brought me these challenges is why I continue to do well in my school work and grow as a person. My lifes processes prepares me for college and what life will bring me once I am through with college. If you are about to graduate and you dont feel like you are ready for what this world has to offer you remember "such is life" an acceptance of the unpredictable fortunes and that one way or another life will bring you good as long as you believe in yourself.

Laura, very inspirational post. You have a wonderful attitude about life's challenges. You see life's glass as half full rather than half empty (sorry for the cliche, but it just seemed to fit). Something that isn't always easy to do. I keep telling my children (who don't always listen) that the greater the challenge, the more satisfaction you'll receive in the end. It's something I keep telling myself as well. Thanks for the reminder!

My mom always said, "God helps those who help themselves" to encourage me never to give up. I truly believe in that. You can have whatever you want if you make having it your primary goal. Thanks for the post, Laura!

Laura,
Excellent post and well stated. Though at times I do which the process would hurry it up sometimes. It does make us who we are. Thanks.
