I know my title is really random, but its because I've been getting really into Sam Cooke's music. I've always loved oldies, so its nice to get back into my 50-60s music. It makes me want to dance around in a large waisted skirt, pleated to perfection and spin around in circles; like I'm on top of hill, in the Sound of Music movie. haha I know what aimless thoughts, but I thought I would share either way. ;-)
Last week I went to play laser tag with a few friends, and of course we decided we had to go at midnight. Surprisingly I was actually kind of good, since I have horrible aim I thought I wasn't going to make it to far. Although I did spend the majority of our second game with my back up against a wall, but it wasn't entirely my decision, I was cornered in by 5 guys because every time they would move I would tag them, and I would hear in the midst of the silence, nothing to be heard but the eerie techno music made to set the ambiance, you could hear "HOW IS SHE GETTING ME?!?!?". It was lots of fun and I ranked at around 10 from the 40 of us that were playing. It was really nice to spend one of the days of this mood swingy week of weather inside, and with friends. This weather has really had its two extremes and I'm thinking its what has caused me to get sick. Unfortunately I missed my first class yesterday :-( I was and am not a happy camper when I'm sick. Thankfully I stocked up on chicken noodle soup, and by tomorrow I'll be out of this coughing, wheezing, sneezing hump. I've been trying to avoid taking any form of medication but I think I might have to resort to it today. Apparently, theres been colds going around, so make sure you're using hand sanitizer and washing your hands frequently. Also be sure to carry around an extra jacket just in case, with our weather its very unpredictable.
On another note: I noticed in the UB Daily Digest, that they are reinstating our buzzing BEE mascot. They are having a little scavenger hunt, the UB Bee, will be leaving behind jars of "Beelieve" honey. When you find the jars, you're supposed to take a picture of yourself and the jar of honey and email it to ubblog@ubalt.edu and they'll post the pictures on this site.
I wish we had "Beelieve" honey at the Shady Grove campus. Moments like this make me realize how distant our campus is from the main campus. I never truly realize that I'm not at the UBalt campus because I feel like I wouldn't see too many people outside of the classes that I'm taking but at the same time I would love to participate in activities like the honey scavenger hunt. So everyone that will be on UBalt's campus April 22nd, make sure you hunt for some honey and really participate in the event for those of us that aren't campus.
For more information about the "Beelieve" honey scavenger hunt check out the website. I've linked it here.

You should be funny and take a picture of you with your own bottle of honey on campus. I had no idea there was a Shady Grove campus and I'm from DC !!!!
Gah it would be awesome to find one of the honey pots... Maybe the Bee will read your post and make a trip down to you guys, it seems like a worthwhile cause to me.
Thanks for the quote, I really love it and it will soon be my status on gchat :0)
HAHA Charlene I might just have to do that. lol.
Spencer the honey hunt reminded me of one of your previous posts, you should definitely try and find some honey :-)
